Marriage & Honeymoon

At an historic church downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota

I have finally endured through the wedding planning process and came out with a husband and a nice vacation!

We decided to honeymoon on the north shore of Minnesota. It is so beautiful up there that we just couldn’t resist!

The view from our townhouse!

We had a few rainy days so I went exploring on google maps to find a yarn store! My husband obliged and we found this gem of a yarn store outside of Two Harbors, MN! My husband told me that I could have as much time as I wanted in there and I could buy whatever I wanted…he had yet to realize he just uttered a knitters dream words!

From the store Playing with Yarn

He wanted me to knit him a laptop case so he bought the book of Knits of Tomorrow while I wanted a new shrug, bigger knitting needles for the scarves I make, and a stitch a day calendar plus marvelous Noro yarn!
I am looking for patterns tonight for the shrug to start but I may end up making my own pattern! Let me know if you guys have any ideas!

Summer is for crafts

I love summer! Summer is the time of the year when you can be outside from sunrise to sunset. By far, summer is perfect with hot, humid air and a slight breeze (not the unbelievably sticky air). Of course along with the heat, you get the unforgettable mosquito bites, sunburns, heat exhaustion, etc. But that is were the memories are as well!

For some reason, every summer, I get unbelievably creative. As soon as the summer air kicks in, my brain churns only creative ideas out 24/7. I hardly ever have enough time in the day to even make or do all my creative ideas! But I have been working hard. In the next week, I will be blogging some of those creative ideas!

Before I start pharmacy school in a month, I decided that will not start any more huge projects. I am going to finish my WIPs (works in process). I have been working hard the past couple of weeks to accomplish and finish all of them. I am almost done! I only have my mother’s hawaii blanket that I have been working on for about a year now. Phew…I cannot wait to be done with that blanket!

To get everybody else in a creative mood, maybe this might help! 😉
